Captured the new Chevrolet Trailblazer. Last February, Chevrolet is undergoing quenching before launching in Korea as a partially modified model released globally. The skeleton is General Motors’ ( hereinafter GM) ‘s front-wheel-drive platform ‘VSS-F (Vehicle Set Strategy-Front)’, which is the same as the current model.
Daytime running lights
The daytime running lights (DRL) with new graphics and ‘X’- shaped chrome decorations were added to the face. The upper part of the radiator grill was trimmed thinner than the current model. As it is a partial change, there is little change in the side and rear. Instead, the top trim has LED rear lamps with two ‘U’- shaped graphics. Body length, width, and height are each 4,410×1,810×1,660 mm ( front-wheel drive, North American specifications ). The wheelbase is 2,640 mm, the same as the current model.

Exterior Details
Exterior details vary by trim. A yellow bow-tie emblem was attached to the basic design of the LS and LT. The upper trim RS and Active have black bow tie badges. The RS was differentiated by adding a radiator grill with a honeycomb pattern and glossy black decoration. A skid plate finished with ActiveN chrome and a rear diffuser was added. The test car in the photo is the basic LS model. I put 17-inch wheels on all fours. The tires are Continental Pro Contact. The size is 215/55 R17.
Interior detail
The interior has a similar atmosphere to that of the Trax crossover. All trims have an 8-inch digital instrument panel and an 11-inch infotainment screen. The location of the air conditioner and the central display was twisted toward the driver’s seat to improve accessibility. The basic trunk capacity is 760L based on the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). If you fold all the second-row seats, you can secure up to 1,540L. For reference, the RS trim has a D- cut steering wheel, and the interior materials are finished in red. Active decorated the interior in black-gray two-tone.
Basic safety and convenience equipment include automatic emergency braking and front pedestrian braking, lane departure prevention assistance and warning, auto high beam, rear camera, 10 airbags, wireless phone projection, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. Blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, and rear cross-traffic warning are available as options.
Two powertrains. An In-line 3 -cylinder 1.2L gasoline turbo engine or 1.35L gasoline turbo engine was prepared. The 1.2 model produces a maximum output of 137 horsepower and a maximum torque of 22.3 kg m. The 1.35 model produces a maximum output of 156 horsepower and a maximum torque of 24.0 kg m. Depending on the rolling method, a 9- speed automatic transmission is used only for the 1.35L all-wheel drive (AWD) model, and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is engaged with the rest of the models.
Meanwhile, GM Korea completed domestic emission and noise certification for the new Trail Blazer in February. Production is carried out at the GM Bupyeong Plant located in Incheon Metropolitan City. The domestic release date has not yet been revealed.
